Portfolio Review is in three weeks and even though I'm starting to freak out and I can feel the beautiful pressure already, I also feel confident I can pull this one off.
Although, it wouldn't be accurate if I count this as day number one of such process. I started this portfolio since day number one of this semester, when I had an idea. I had the idea of making my own custom-sized portfolio case and, so I will adventure to do it. Thus, this is day number one of production -- I've bought part of the materials (matboard, chipboard, cover paper, glue and a very handy cutting board) and will start tracing the case template pretty soon.

Caricature Assignment
Caricatures can be quite interesting.
It is hard enough to draw realistically, and to exaggerate somebody's features in a way that it still looks like the person and depicts who she/he is... Well, that's some challenge. I've never drawn a caricature. I only remember tracing Mickey Mouse tons of times when I was a kid. To the point where I could draw him from my head (wow-- in a sarcastic tone), but that's about it.
As I endeavor in the completion of this assignment, I will leave you with small bits of these very first caricatures.

UPDATE -- It's getting better and scarier...
I never mentioned his name -- Juan Son (aka Mussgo -- former member of Porter), whose music plays in my iPod and in my heart as well... OK that was a little over the board. His music is quite interesting, but his voice is just wow.

Super Charged...
There are instances when the super me wants to jump out and reach for the sky... With so many ideas, cool projects, deep thoughts and lots of scribbles ready to be released, I don't know where to start!
Illustration is starting to take a complete different direction within me, the more I see, the more I get interested, curious, fired-up. Very nice inspiration was sent to my Inbox this evening... I feel the calling... I'm super charged!
